The SMT-7 - the Voice Controlled Pop Up Socket - is a voice-controlled, motorised pop-up desktop socket from Decoamigo's SMT series, engineered to sit flush with the worktop until power is needed and then rise into view on command. A control head combining USB-C PD and USB-A QC 3.0 fast charging with one or two Schuko sockets sits above the counter, while the mounting flange and telescopic body retract below the surface when not in use. Voice activation is combined with 340-degree base rotation and a built-in anti-trap and anti-force mechanism that guards against pinching or forced closure. The design was recognised with a Silver award at the shop! Design Awards 2025.

Voice activation lets the SMT-7 rise into use without needing a free hand to press a button, which suits kitchen counters where hands are often wet or occupied; a manual press remains available as a backup. The 340-degree base rotation lets the socket face be turned toward whoever needs it after it rises, and the built-in anti-trap and anti-force mechanism is designed to prevent the column from pinching fingers or being forced back down against resistance. An optional Qi wireless charging module (STW-7B-15 / STW-7S-15) can be fitted to the top of the column, turning the SMT-7 into a combined power, USB, and wireless charging point, as shown in the manufacturer's own "SMT-7+Qi" desk photography below.

The SMT-7 is available in two socket configurations: a version combining the charging panel with a single AC socket, and a version adding a second AC socket beneath the first. The photos below are shown at the same width so the true relative height difference between the two remains visible.

Installation clearances are specified by the manufacturer as follows: a mounting hole of Ø89.5mm, a top surface inlay of Ø81.5mm (either <=25mm or <=12.5mm deep, depending on the chosen version), a countertop thickness of 15-50mm, at least 200mm of clearance above the counter and at least 400mm of reserved space below it for the retracted body.
