The SOB-5 is the smaller round waterproof floor box in the SOB range, using an Ø100 mm cutout and three module positions. Access-floor versions use the A suffix, while concrete-floor versions use the C suffix and the corresponding base box. Four zinc-alloy panel finishes are available for both installation types: silver, old brass, red copper and gold.

With only three module positions, the SOB-5 suits floor outlets where a single power socket, USB module or data port is enough - a side table in a living room, a single workstation seat, a small coffee-shop nook or a library reading desk - rather than the mixed six-module loadouts the SOB-3 and SOB-4 are built for. Its Ø100 mm round cutout is the smallest of any SOB or SCF box in the range, letting it fit into tighter floor spans.

Eight order codes cover the two installation types. SOB-5ZNA, ZBA, ZCA and ZGA are access-floor versions; SOB-5ZNC, ZBC, ZCC and ZGC are concrete-floor versions. All use an Ø100 mm cutout and provide three module positions, with the modules selected separately.

SOB-5 units are batch-tested at the factory across all four finishes, with the smaller Ø100 mm housing and its three module openings checked for a consistent, snug fit, and the nickel, old-brass, copper and gold plating inspected for even coverage before release.

The SOB-5 is ordered by finish and installation type. Module inserts and the appropriate base box are separate selections for the three positions, with lead time confirmed after the finish, floor construction, module selection and quantity are finalized.
